Lucan North has almost seven babies for every hundred people, making it the most fertile area of any of Ireland’s cities. And all ten of the most fertile urban areas are in Dublin City. Here they are. >>>

All ten are in Dublin City.

  • 6.8% – Lucan North (79 babies out of 1149 people)
  • 6.5% – The Ward (338 babies out of 5125 people)
  • 6.3% – Merchants Quay F (154 babies out of 2413 people)
  • 5.6% – Lucan-Esker (1441 babies out of 25611 people)
  • 5.4% – Dubber (201 babies out of 3688 people)
  • 5.2% – Tallaght-Jobstown (658 babies out of 12514 people)
  • 5.1% – Blanchardstown-Mulhuddart (143 babies out of 2751 people)
  • 5.0% – Balbriggan Rural (482 babies out of 9558 people)
  • 4.9% – Ballinascorney (37 babies out of 740 people)
  • 4.9% – Blanchardstown-Blakestown (1608 babies out of 32051 people)

The State average is 2.9% (121,000 babies out of 4.17 million people)
