Blem Has Blemmed Up the Urban Dictionary

A month ago, when That’s Ireland was a nipper, Paige Harrison at BlankPaige was asking Dubliners to blem over to Urban Dictionary, and give a thumbs up to defining ‘blem’ as ‘an exhortation to make a short, swift journey; e.g. will you blem down to the off-licence for me?’ Well, here is an update. >>>

Blem

Paige’s definition has now blemmed its way up to the number one spot of all of the Blem entries, overtaking the various Londoners who think it is a cigarette.

Let’s hope, as I mentioned in my last post about Blem, that this is the first step to the proper definitions of the following important concepts on Urban Dictionary:

  • ‘Arthuritis’ (Inflammation of the joints)
  • ‘Circling over Shannon’ (to be very drunk)
  • ‘Folly’ (to pursue somebody or support a football team)
  • ‘Motrified’ (to be very embarrassed)
  • ‘Skarla’ (to be quite embarrassed)
  • ‘Thrun’ (past tense of to throw)
