This is the end of my lengthy correspondence with Ryanair about the prospect of saving money by running airplanes with no seats. Keen to avoid the prospect of me calling to his office with a giant scale model of a seatless airplane, Michael O’Leary responded by return of post: >>>

Dear Mr Whitehead,I thank you for your letter dated 12 September and I refer you to my previous letter of 11 August (copy enclosed).

Regrettably we have no interest in your concept and therefore no interest in a meeting.
