That’s Ireland Reaches One-Hit-Wonder Status

Thanks for reading That’s Ireland! An electronic carrier pigeon has just brought news that – for one glorious day – you helped make this the 52nd most popular blog (and 29th most popular English-language blog) on WordPress.com. Thanks also to The Guardian’s Guide magazine for the nice review on Sep 8. >>>

On the plus side, that was number 52 out of over 1.5 million WordPress.com blogs on that day. On the minus side, we were behind not only the CNN Political Ticker, the Official Star Wars blog and Web Worker Daily, but also Babes and Wallpaper, Daily Eye-Candy and the legendary I Can Has Cheeseburger?

So, having happily joined the One-Hit-Wonder club (the blog equivalent of Karl Douglas’ Kung Fu Fighting, Nena’s 99 Red Balloons or Jilted John’s Jilted John), the next step must be to get out of that club. If you enjoy That’s Ireland, please help to spread the news. Thanks very much. Michael.

As mentioned above, if you like Irish football and/or cultural nostalgia, I also write Bionic Bohs, a blog about following Bohs in the 1970s.
