What If – Pee Flynn and the Tribunal

May 4, 2008 at 3:23 pm 5 comments

RTE do a radio show every Sunday that examines what might have been if certain political events had not happened. Today it was about what would have happened if Padraig Flynn had not appeared on the Late Late Show and prompted Tom Gilmartin to give evidence to the Flood Tribunal. I was a guest on the show, along with journalist Michael Clifford.

You can listen to it here.

This was a useful overview of the corruption scandals to date, Michael–and I was impressed at your ability, about halfway through the show, to reel them off in one (very long) sentence.

    Thanks for the comments.

That’s Ireland is taking a break as I’ve been too busy with real life to post for a while – also, I am working on a new blog which I hope to have ready in a few weeks.

I’ll have more news on that soon.

Pee Flynn could be featured in another “What if..”
What if Pee Flynn hadn’t gone on the radio in 1990 during the presidential election campaign and suggested that Mary Robinson had a new-found interest in her family. This, as well as Brian Lenihan’s implosion, helped to swing the election in favour of Robbo.
